Trailer Tuesday: Wednesday edition

So I saw this trailer and I gotta say I like the looks of it. Not only does it have a great looking cast of John C. Reiley (Wreck it Ralph and upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy), Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Rec), and Molly Shannon (SNL), but the premise looks hilarious. The trailer starts out looking like a drama about living life and trying to have no regrets. Simple enough been done before, same with the dead loved one being brought back from the dead for no apparent reason. Take that and have a reason that loved one comes back and have that reason be she's now a zombie and it seems you have this movie. I like the different tones that the trailer portrays but it could hinder the movie if they don't have cohesive point.

Fury I think will either be really good or just mediocre. I like the idea of it being the end of the war but the hardest fighting is still going on, the troops feeling the end coming but still having to put their life on the line harder than ever. I can't imagine that feeling, facing that possability of dying when you can see the end. That is one reason why I think it will be a good movie as well as who is directing it. David Ayer wrote and directed this movie and I loved his previous work of End of Watch which is fantastic. My apprehension comes from the fact of some of the dialogue in the trailer. It just comes off as unorignal slightly clunky macho army sayings like the round robin of "best job I even had". I don't know, I'll go in hoping for the best but won't be surprised if I'm let down by something that is so-so.

Welcome all nerds!

Hullo everyone! Welcome to our little corner of the internet! I am your humble host, Bones. On our little blog we have a grand dream, a dream of another place for fellow nerds to talk about the media they love. Any media we will try and carve a place for it.  Comics, TV, movies, video games, any and everything. We are just starting out but have some grand visions. The first get off the ground stuff of the blog will be our podcast. On that me and my co-host Twi will be covering TV, first up being Buffy the vampire slayer and Start Trek: The original series. It will post twice a week, one episode a week of each series. The other weekly installment will be trailer Tuesdays! I'll post movie trailers that have come out over the past week that have peeked my interest and give my thoughts on them. On Wednesdays I'll be alternating between my slight journal comic strip and an op/ed column on nerdy things. Every other Friday Twi will have his column up on the site as well. We hope you stick with us as we hopefully grow fast and give you more content. We got a lot of stuff in the works that will be coming to a screen near you!
